About Me

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Courtice, Ontario, and have been living in Ottawa for the last four years, since starting at Algonquin College.

What are your inspirations?

I've always loved the nerdier brands of art, growing up drawn to comic books and musical theatre. I love bright, dynamic, and colourful art that tells a story, the way it does through those mediums.

How did you get into graphic design?

I stumbled into graphic design somewhat accidentally, signing up for a com-tech elective at my tech-heavy high school, mainly for lack of any other interesting options. That class introduced me to Illustrator and a type of art I'd hardly considered before but quickly fell absolutely in love with.

What makes you passionate about design?

I love a puzzle; exploring a program to figure out the best ways to bring a design to life the way it was imagined in someone's head or sketch. I love to see all the pieces come together into something complete and beautiful.
